Avalon Hills Community Update
Winter is approaching, please note that the annual cost of snow removal in our neighborhood can exceed $4,500. To ensure we’re prepared for heavy snowfall, we maintain a dedicated reserve fund to cover these seasonal expenses.
For added security, license plate recognition (LPR) cameras have been installed at the entrances to Avalon Hills for several years. These cameras record all vehicles entering the community, including license plate numbers. In the event of a security incident—such as a home invasion or other concern—footage can be reviewed for up to 30 days. The system allows searches by date, time, vehicle type, color, or license plate number.
Camera footage is accessible to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) when a report is filed. IMPD may also use our system to assist in broader investigations involving all-points bulletins (APBs) or other vehicle-related alerts.
In addition to maintaining neighborhood services and safety, your association continues to support key community initiatives, including the Nickel Plate Trail, Skiles Test Nature Park, and BRAG (Binford Redevelopment and Growth). These partnerships help enhance the quality of life in and around Avalon Hills.
